First of all, you MUST be a legitimate pet retailer! We are interested in supporting legitimate retail operations only. We define these as having a retail walk-in storefront, capable of providing sales support and products to retail customers. Such businesses have significant time and money invested in their operations, and we respect their right to operate without unfair competition. In return, we expect such retailers to happily provide us with the required documentation to prove their status. Help us to help you protect your business!

VMS will NOT sell at wholesale pricing to any individual, internet-based business, or other business failing to meet our criteria. There will be NO exceptions.

• Step one:

  • Send us a photocopy of your business license, sales tax license, or similar (such things vary by state). Ideally, these should contain your personal name as well as your business name. This confirms to us that the individual we are dealing with is in fact the operator of said business. Most owners would be shocked to discover how often employees attempt to purchase for their own needs using business documents!
    
    Don't forget to include contact information, including phone number, fax number, and e-mail address!

• Step two:

  • We will verify the information provided and verify the existence of a retail 'brick-and mortar' storefront. Generally, listings in your city yellow-pages will be considered adequate confirmation.

• Step three:

  • Once your account is established, we'll contact you. Most often, we'll just send along a pricelist. E-mail is preferred, as it is the most timely, but faxes work well too. For the most up-to-date listings of availability, take a look through our web pages. Usually, if it is listed on our web pages then the same items are available at wholesale - often in greater quantities.
